Estonia would totally major in computer science, computer engineering, or even math.

Austria--definitely music.

Ukraine-- agricultural science.

Greece--philosophy

N. Italy - art

Norway - Norwegian literature, cuz he's into those magical creatures; surely he would love reading stories about them.

Belarus--stalking her brother.

What else?

I was thinking, if Ukraine's large breasts represent her tracts of agricultural land, what would represent that land on Male!Ukraine?

And no, I'm not thinking of *that*.  )

I thought I'd post to here since it seems to be a bit dead lately, and some discussion posts are still posted to the main hetalia conference.

So, if you could rename any of the characters that were given human names, what would you rename them? I'm thinking that some of the names could be changed to more accurately represent the language/culture/names of people there. For example, a more Estonian-sounding name would be better for Eduard.

Another question I have is, why do you think siblings sometimes get different surnames? Like Russia and Belarus, or Canada and the US? To emphasize that each is its own country and culture?

Damn this community's collecting dust! It makes me sad inside... D8>

So! This week Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are finally being released in the remaining parts of the world! Clearly this calls for pokeymanz-related discussions.

Which pokemon do you see hetalias own if they were trainers/breeders/whatever?

Which hetalia is which pokemon?

Any pokemon you associate to certain hetalias for other reasons?

Personally I think Sweden and Finland would run a farm of Stantler together.
Canada owns any given amount of Bidoof/Bibarel and Teddiursa/Ursaring.
Of course France owns a Chatot named Pierre, and a Roserade.
Russia dreams of finding a Sunkern he can evolve into a Sunflora.
JAPAN OWNS A PIKACHU. AND THEY LOVE EACH OTHER TO BITS.

Feel free to look up Bulbapedia's list of pokemon if your memory's fuzzy or you're not knowledgable of the later generations.

Have at it, comm!

 I found myself wondering this today, when I walked past a poster for a manga course for kids at the local bookstore, and my imagination ran wild with me again;

How would you rate Axis Powers Hetalia?

For example, would you be able to recommend the series to your 11-year-old cousin that I just made up without thinking they're better off not reading some strips?

I know the series isn't really graphic or shippy or anything, but it does dontain loads and loads of innuendo, naked Veneziano running around, Russia being a torture-monster, and FRANCE. Not to mention that most of the main story shamelessly revolves around the greatest wars of modern time, and I'm not really sure if Hetalia would affect a kid's view on the tragedy of wars for the better...

So, yeah, this got stuck in my mind and I have no idea how to resolve it. Have at it, comm!

ALSO PLEASE HELP WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO TAG THIS I DON'T EVEN... OTL

I hope this is allowed here but....

Did you ever sit there thinking or listening to music and realized that a certain character from something totally unrelated looked like a Hetalia character?

Because just today I realized there are two characters who are nothing alike but look scarily similar.

Venture into the cut! )

Tired of this yet? 8D

WELL TOO BAD.

Grandpa Rome only knows how many headcanon discussion posts have been in the main comm. But it's apparently inevitable.

SO. Let me be the first one to use the headcanon tag.

Go crazy, guys. Let's all share how we think nations are, etc. etc. for the nth time
